The Complete Application Process
An electrostatic gun ionizes the solution and applies a charge to the mist. The protectant particles are 900x smaller than normal sprayer droplets, and the charge is 75x the force of gravity. The initial surface preparation is completed using MicroShield 360's Renew product, while the finish coating is completed using MicroShield 360's Antimicrobial. The location is then ready for use immediately following the drying of surfaces, which is approximately 5 minutes.
The protectant forms a covalent bond that cross-links and polymerizes to itself and the target surface. This creates a uniform and cohesive web across the substrate. The nitrogen atom's positive charge in the protectant attracts the pathogen toward the coating. Upon contact, the long carbon chain pierces the pathogen and disrupts its physical structure. Once the pathogen contacts the nitrogen atom, it applies a charge which neutralizes it.
